Life goes on..

So here we are, almost one year from the last blog post.
A winter passed by, we had some exciting moments with fires and storms and some snow,
We had the usual suspects, our usual Friday Pool parties, and the camaraderie of fellow liveaboards.
Our good friends Paul and Elisabeth moved to land, I bought a new car, visited Paul on his "Boys Weekend" up at their cabin in New Hampshire.
Then Spring came, we moved back to the Winthrop Yacht Club, It was a fairly eventless summer.
We sailed to a Winter Liveaboards rendezvous in Provincetown for a long weekend, We did do several trips to Cohasset, and to Scituate.
With the club we went and visited Palmers Cove Yacht Club in Salem
We spend many weekends out at anchorage at various places in the Boston Harbor Islands, including one more impromptu trip to Cohasset because we could not find good shelter in Boston.

All in all it was a relaxing summer. As it always is, it was too short, and we did not go out as much as I would have liked too. Danielle is getting more involved with her work, so our time to go out was somewhat limited.
Waterdancer worked like a champ. No significant mechanical problems, We had a to fix the bow light (broken wire, probably my fault) and also the solenoid for the anchor.
I am trying to rearrange the anchor locker so that the chain does not fall over itself.

So as I write this, Summer of 2014 is about to come to an end, and we are ready to move back to Constitution Marina.
However, there is a possibility that I will get more involved in the management of the yacht club, which would mean that I would spend significantly more time in Winthrop this Winter.

A fire on E dock provided some hairy moments last winter

The firefighters decided to let it burn down as to minimize the risk of spreading the fire to other boats
